Says a famous Sanskrit verse. It means Gods rejoice where the women is venerated. B.H.H Degree College for Women, Guntur, is established basing on above principle as the college focuses to develop Hindu ethos & culture among students. The vision of college is education and empowerment of young women for their transformation into responsible citizens. We intend to see girl students not only intellectually enlightened but also emotionally balanced and socially committed.

It is my humble duty to introduce the college. The college started its debut in 1991 as an off shoot of H.C.& H.S. council, Guntur. The college imparts education to girl students not only in the traditional streams of Arts, Commerce and Science but also in the modern streams of computers, I.T and Agriculture.

The college has completed 22 years in the realm of imparting higher education to girl students. It has made significant and unparalleled contribution to the society in terms of producing numerous dignitaries, scholars, intellectuals and sports persons who served different domains not only in our country but even at International levels.

The college has built up an impressive infrastructure over the years. It includes a well- stocked library, 02 computer laboratories, 06 Science laboratories and one language laboratory. The college has a Seminar hall containing LCD projector which caters to the needs of increasing number of our students including PH students. The calm, serene atmosphere and the magnificent building premises defiantly touch the visitor’s soul.

The college provides a number of Scholarships and Endowment Awards for the benefit of meritorious and needy students. It contains a Bank of India branch in its premises thus providing ATM and Banking facilities for the students. Our college has a Placement cell which provides employment opportunities to the graduating students through campus recruitment.

I am glad to welcome all the fresh students to Bandlamudi family. Join us in our endeavor of striding towards excellence in all spheres of activities with zeal and enthusiasm, which adds to the glory of B.H.H Degree College for Women, Guntur.

Code of Conduct

Duties of the Head of the Institution

  • Principal, the head of the institution plays a dynamic and key role in the maintenance of the institution.
  • She supervises the implementation of the academic calendar and other programmes directed by the university and Higher Education
  • She observes the progress of the students and work of teaching staff with frequent rounds to the classes
  • She monitors the discipline and punctuality of both the students and staff.
  • She handles prescribed number of classes in her subject.
  • She conducts meetings periodically as a part of administration.
  • She acts as a bridge between the management with staff and students.

Code of Conduct to Teachers

  • Teachers should be punctual and regular to the classes.
  • They should handle the subjects assigned by Principal and complete the syllabus in time.
  • They should feel accountable for the good results of the students.
  • They should monitor the class to which they are appointed as mentor.
  • They should be decent in the campus and be role models to the students
  • They should not resort to unfair means and should not use unparliamentary language in the campus. It is viewed seriously by the college management.
  • No representation to the government or university should be made without the permission of the Principal or Secretary.
  • They should spread amicable atmosphere around them and act as the co ordinators between students and Principal.
  • They should not take cell phones to the class room.
  • Every teacher should participate in all the activities performed in the college without fail.
  • They should submit their teaching notes, assignment marks at the end of every month.
  • Ultimately they should never cause damage to the reputation of the college.

Rules for Attendance

  • Teachers should be in the campus at least 10 minutes before the scheduled college working hours.
  • They should not go outside in the college hours.
  • They should intimate one day in advance for the casual leave.
  • 15 days of casual leave can be availed in a calendar year.
  • Principal’s permission is mandatory for the leave application.
  • They should adjust the workload with the colleagues in their absence for the smooth function of the classes.

Code of Conduct for Students

The word Disciple i.e. students is coined from discipline. Hence the students should be disciplined before they impart education. A particular code of conduct is prescribed for students to maintain safe and serene atmosphere in the college premises.

  • Students should wear uniform all the working days except Friday on which civil dress is allowed.
  • The appearance of students should be neat and tidy with plaited hair.
  • Students must wear identity cards in college campus and when they go outside on college activities.
  • They should not skip the classes and engage in group chitchat
  • They should be in the campus at least 10 minutes before the scheduled working hours and should not leave the campus before the college hours.
  • Attendance will be taken in each period and calculated for taking semester exams.
  • Students should not resort to unfair means in the campus.
  • They should attend all the assignments and examinations held at college.
  • No cell phone is allowed in college campus. It should be deposited in the office.
  • They should be obedient to teachers and value teacher-student relationship.
  • Ultimately they should safeguard the college reputation with their decent behavior.

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

Quality in imparting education has become the major challenge which Higher Education is facing nowadays. It is crucial for both the institution and the student to maintain certain parameters in the process of teaching and learning. Hence we established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in our college in 2019 in order to check and enhance the quality of the process.

IQAC is a nodal agency which is established as per the guidelines of UGC which co ordinates and supervises all the departments in the college. It prepares an action plan for the academic year which includes interaction with students, parents, management and even alumni for improvement in all the areas. It suggests student welfare schemes, activities for college development. It even monitors accreditation process.
